We are a happy, inclusive school where everyone is valued. Our small school enables us to work together, showing respect and tolerance – we are proud of the strong relationships we have which make us unique! We hold the “Leigh On Mendip Family Values.” We are nurturing, compassionate, show curiosity, take responsibility, strive for excellence; we are polite and kind to all members of our school community.
As a school we are all committed to achieving our very best – we promote resilience and healthy lives including physical and mental health. Leadership is fundamental to our values, from the School Council and Eco-Warriors to classroom teachers and senior leaders in our school. Our wider curriculum offer is in place to promote curiosity in the world, building skills and knowledge as pupils’ progress through the school to ensure that they are well equipped for the demands of secondary school education.
We believe everyone has a gift or a talent; pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, be independent and have enquiring minds. As a school we hold British Values and the Protected Characteristics as part of our curriculum offer, so that our pupils are responsible citizens who can thrive in the 21st Century.
